What's an Arepa? An arepa is a Venuzelan flat bread.
It's so simple to do! Heat a frying pan (either use a non-stick or a bit of oil - or both), pull off a ball of dough that you can work in the palm of your hand in to a ball and then flatten it to a centimetre or so thick. Fry on each side for a couple of minutes until golden. EIther eat straight away or cook in the oven for a few minutes more. These arepa's are great on their own, with a stew or curry, or tear them open and stuff any filling you want inside.
Ball of Arepa dough is 300g minimum.
